A data cap is the limit imposed by Internet Service Providers in Mauritius. Once the limit is exceed the speed of the user's internet connection is slowed down. The data cap for a 10 Mbps Canalbox service is 10 GB per day. The data cap for a 10 Mbps My.T service is 50 GB per month.

A common interpretation of User Experience is anything that we expect another will experience while using the internet. For example, the user is not able to view a video stream properly when the video pauses every now and then due to buffering. It is expected that a video stream will play without any buffering.
The following is a comparison of the 10 Mbps My.T and Canalbox services. In order to be sure that there is a satisfactory User Experience, it is assumed that the daily data cap advertised by the Internet Service Provider should be more than the data volume requirements:
My.T users can expect a degraded User Experience as they will exceed the data cap. The data cap for Canalbox users provides a better User Experience as the limit is well below the data volume requirements.
